Irish racing today

By far the best N.H. racing today is at Punchestowns, but at the time of writing it is still unclear if the meeting will go ahead. There are only 5 runners in the Grade Two chase over 2 miles at 14.30, but they include two candidates for championship honours in Golden Silver (Willie Mullins/ Ruby Walsh) and Big Zeb (Colm Murphy/ Barry Geraghty). The latter has arguably the better form, but the former has improved tremendously and loves the heavy ground which could just swing things in his favour. The Grade Two novice hurdle at 16.00 should mainly concern top-weight Hollo Ladies (Noel Meade/ Paul Carberry) and Saludos (Jessica Harrington/ Robbie Power). The former came out on tóp when they last met, but the latter has a big pull in the weights this time and can reverse the form.

Betting forecast:
1. Race: Heads Onthe Ground - Nelson`S Spice - Silver Birch
2. Race: Golden Silver - Big Zeb - Mansony
3. Race: Seabass - An Peinteir - Tiernan`S Terror
4. Race: Benefit Night - O`Muircheartaigh - Parsons Pistol
5. Race: Saludos - Hollo Ladies - Luska Lad
6. Race: Leading Diamonds - Guts For Garters - Grange Alainn
7. Race: Perfect Smile - Blackstairmountain - Recital Public
8. Race: Garlough - Daydah - Silent Picture
