All-weather racing at Lingfield and Kempton

Inspections are due at both a.w. weather tracks today, but in the hope that racing goes ahead, we expect Via Mia (Matthew Davies) to take the seller at Lingfield at 14.30 CET; she is best in at the weights and is dropping in grade. Hald n hour later, in a handicap over the same trip of 10 furlongs, we expect to see another bottom-weight score -Fly by Nelly (Hughie Morrison/ Chris Catlin), as this trip should be ideal.

The final apprentice handicap at 16.30 can go to top-weight Party in the Park (James Boyle/ N. Alison), who certainly deserves to get his head in front after finishing runner-up 5 times in his last 6 starts (including 3 times here).

The standard of racing at Kempton´s early evening fixture is much higher, with two class 3 handicaps. The10 furlongs race at 18.20 should concern the consistent performers Poyle Meg (Ralph Beckett/ Jim Crowley) and Desert Vision (Mick Easterby/ Phillip Makin), both of whom have won 3 of their last 5 races, but we also fancy top-weight Baylini (Mrs. Doyle/ Adam Kirby); she has not won for ages, but has been mainly running in better events and goes well on the all-weather. There are only 7 runners in the 6 furlongs race at 19.20, but it looks very tricky and 6 of them are CD winners. Indeed top-weight Earlsmedic has won on his two trips here and is our narrow selection, with Fatstha (David Simcock/ Eddie Ahern) and Vhujon (David Evans/ Andrew Heffernan) heading the dangers. The mil handicap at 19.50 is another very open race, but Pegasus Again (Terry Mills/ Joe Fanning) scored in good style at Lingfield last week and can follow up under top weight.
