Naas (N.H. in Ireland) and Wolverhampton (a.w.)

The going will be very testing at Naas this afternoon, but there is some very competitive racing. In the listed hurdles race at 14.30 CET Torphichen (Edward O´Grady/ Andrew McNamara) could be the safest selection, although Arabella Boy (Enda Bolger/ Nina Carberry) and Ebadiyan (Oliver Brady/ John Cullen) are also both pretty useful. Of even more interest could be the beginners chase a 13.50, in which Captain Cee Bee (Edward Harty/ Tony McCoy) reappears after being off the track for 20 months. He looked a great prospect then and today must most fear another useful hurdler Zaarito (Colm Murphy/ Paul Townend), who however fell over fences last time. The sport on offer at the early evening all-weather meeting at Wolverhampton is much less exciting, but we hope to see Arteus (Jane Chapple-Hyam/ Shane Kelly) complete a hat-trick in the 7 furlongs handicap at 17.45, and Wellmarked (John Quinn/ Eddie Ahern) win the 2yo maiden at 18.15. Most interesting runner here could be Prohibiti on (William Haggas/ Jamie Spencer) in the 3yo handicap 19.15, but he has been off the track for a year and on recent form bottom-weight Oriental Cavalier (Reg Hollisnhead/ Graham Gibbons) might be a better option.
