Lingfield, Sedgefield, Southwell (a.w.) and Gowran Park (Ireland)

Still plenty of rain about in the U.K. and Ireland but it seems that today´s meetings are safe, and Gowran Park has passed an early morning inspection. However the going will be very testing at the Irish track, where Willie Mullins and Paul Townend can take the first two races of an all-hurdles card with Doctor Deejay at 14.05 CET and Enterprise Park half an hour later. In England, we expect the winning run of Donald McCain (4 winners yesterday) to continue and he can score twice at Sedgefield with Master Fong at 13.50 and Seedless at 15.20, both ridden by Jason Maguire. German-bred Suntini (Emma Lavelle/ Jack Doyle) has a good chance in the handicap chase that opens Lingfield´s card at 13.40; although a son of Platini he seems to act well on the heavy. Tony McCoy can land a double here on James Fanshawe´s La Sarrazine in the mares novice hurdle at 14.10 (she has been off the track for over a year, but is easily the best of these on flat form) and Jonjo O´Neill´s Sunnyhillboy in the beginners chase at 14.40. On the all-weather at Southwell we think that Barney Curley´s CD winner Elusive Hawk can run well under top-weight at 16.30, now that the stable has come back into form, while the 1 1/2 mile maiden at 15.30 has 11 runners but on form looks a match between Time Book (John Gosden/ Nicky Mackay) and Inflammable (Sir Mark Prescott/ Steven Donohoe).
