German runners in France today

today´s meeting at Fontainebleau is just about the last flat racing on turf in France this season and there are some huge fields, including no less than 14 runners from Germany. The main event is the listed Prix Belle de Nuit for fillies over 2500 metres at 14.40, in which La Tournesol (Peter Schiergen/ Gaetan Masure) and Lunduv (Christian von der Recke/ Sebastien Maillot) are both engaged, as well as the German-breds Andrea, La Boum and Majura. With 18 runners on the expected heavy going, this looks a very tough race. In our view, Peter Schiergen´s La Buena (Williams Saraiva) in the 3yo claimer at 15.45 could have the best chance of all the German runners, but all these races look tricky.
