3 all-weather meetings today

all-weather racing this afternoon at Lingfield, and this evening at Wolverhampton and Dundalk. At the latter track it is the last flat meeting of the Irish season, and gives Pat Smullen one more last chance to reach Johnny Murtagh´s total of winners and become Irish champion jockey again. Murtagh does not ride today but leads by 93-88, but although Smullen has rides in all 7 races, several of them good chances, it will be a miracle if he can score the 5 points necessary. At Lingfield, John Gosden´s Trooping the Colour (Jimmy Fortune), runner-up on all 4 starts so far, can finally get off the mark in the 3yo maiden at 14.20 CET, while Jarrow (Mark Johnston/ Greg Fairley) should outclass the opposition in the 2yo conditions race at 15.30. At Wolverhampton the two main events, handicaps over 7 furlongs at 20.30 and over 8 1/2 furlongs at 21.50 are both very competitive, but Street Power (Jeremy Gask/ Steve Drowne) and Spinning (David Barron/ Phillip Makin) should have decent ea ch-way chances.
