Paul Nicholls to hit top gear at Chepstow

Paul Nicholls has been very quiet so far this season, but looks set to hit top form at this afternoon´s N.H.meeting at Chepstow, one of his favourite tracks. He has fancied runners in 6 of the 7 races and it would come as no great surprise if he were to win them all. Ruby Walsh partners Tito Bustillo in the novice hurdle at 14.55 CET, The Gossmoor Yank under top weight in the handicap chase at 15.30, Gullible Gordon in the novice chase half an hour later, Top of the Knar in the handicap chase at 16.35 (accompanied by stable companion Hoo La Baloo, ridden by Ian Popham), Classic Swain in the handicap hurdle at 17.10 and Murrell in the bumper at 18.20. Although Chepstow stages the best jumps card today, Tony McCoy is in action at Bangor and can land a short-priced double for Jonjo O´Neill on City Theatre at 15.50 and Shadow Dancer at 17.30. There is also N.H. racing
at Hexham, where German-bred Noble Alan (Nicky Richards/ Brian Harding) should win the beginners chase at 15.10, and in Ireland at Fairyhouse, where there are maximum fields in all races and where Falcon Island (Gordon Elliott/ Barry Geraghty) in the maiden hurdle at 15.50 looks the best bet.
