Leicester, Redcar and Windsor

The ground will be very soft at Leicester after heavy rain in the past few days. Main event here is the 3yo handicap over 7 furlongs at 16.50 CET, which has only 7 runners but still looks quite tricky. Both Henry Cecil and Richard Fahey saddle two runners, but jockey bookings suggest that El Loco Uno (Tom Queally) and Kyllachy Star (Paul Hanagan) are their main hopes, but Rafta (TT Clement/ Josephine Bruning), who has won her last 4 races, including this CD on soft going, looks the one to beat. Imaam (John Dunlop/ Richard Hills) and Sunshine Always (William Haggas/ Hayley Turner) are also in with a serious chance.

With the Godolphin stable in great form, the "boys in blue" can get on the scorecard at both Windsor and Redcar. At Windsor their two runners Chaperno (Ahmed Ajtebi), in the 6 furlongs conditions race for 2yo´s at 16.30, and Samaaha (Ted Durcan), a half-sister to Mamool who runs in the 10 furlongs maiden race for fillies at 17.30, are likely to start short-priced favourites, while at Redcar the well-bred Siyaadah (Royston Ffrench) makes her debut in the 2yo fillies maiden at 15.10. Also at Redcar, we fancy Talayeb (Marcus Tregoning/ Tadgh O´Shea) to run well in the maiden handicap at 17.40. He has been off the track since April, but with the stable back in form, can strike here.
