Godolphin at 3 meetings today

The Godolphin stable has really hit top form in the past few days (5 winners from the last 6 starters) and more success can be expected today. Ted Durcan partners their runners at Newmarket today and much interest will be centred on Long Lashes, bought recently out of the Jessica Harrington stable after easily winning on her debut, in the Group Three Sweet Solera Stakes for 2yo fillies at 16.00 CET. However this looks a strong renewal and Jira (Clive Brittain/ Kevin Shea), Sent from Heaven (Barry and Michael Hills), Bikini Babe (Mark Johnston/ Richard Hills) and Chachamaidee (Henry Cecil/ Tom Queally) also have chances. Godolphin´s runners in the two divisions of the 2yo maiden fillies event, sponsored by German Thoroughbred Marketing, Battlemaiden at 14.25 and Huroof at 17.10 also deserve respect. It is probably significant that stable jockey Frankie Dettori has been sent to Haydock to partner Campanologist in the Group Three Rose of Lancaster Stakes over 10 furlongs at 15.4 0. Although Campanologist has not really run up to his excellent 2008 form so far this year, he can score here at the main expense of Duncan (John Gosden/ Jimmy Fortune), Jukebox Jury (Mark Johnston/ Royston French) and Tranquil Tiger (Henry Cecil/ Eddie Ahern). Godolphin have also entered Emirates Sports in the main event at Redcar, a handicap over the straight mile at 15.35. William Buick, who should have a profitable afternoon with several good rides, has been booked.
