German runners in France today

Another German winner in France yesterday, and more chances today with runners at both Deauville and Vichy. At Deauville, Werner Baltromei has two runners in the tiercé handicap over 2 miles at 14.25, Samiro (Dominique Boeuf) and Balboa (Jerome Lermyte); both should run well but this is a very tough race. Baltromei and Boeuf also team up with Non Stop in the 1900 metres PSF seller for 3yo colts at 15.55 and Danae in the fillies equivalent half an hour later. There are 3 German runners in the 2400 metres PSF conditions race for 4yo´s at 16.55, Tresco (Michael Figge/ Ioritz Mendizibal), Khadar (Baltromei/ Boeuf) and -our selection- Nelson (Michael Trybuhl/ Olivier Peslier). Mario Hofer runs his useful 2yo Suerte Loco (Boeuf) in the fillies race at 15.25, but she faces strong opposition, notably from Gestüt Ammerland´s Hungry Heart (André Fabre/ Maxime Guyon) and Olvia (Carlos Laffon-Parias/ Peslier), both of whom are unbeaten.

There are also good juveniles running in the opening race at 13.50, including Richard Hannon´s cloudy prospect Cumulus Nimbus (Pat Dobbs). At Vichy, Halstead Heroe (Petr Olsanik/ Marc Nobili) and Pine Oaks (Conny Brandstätter/ Antony Lagamichos) run in the mile handicap at 15.40, and the latter team are also represented by Farah in the fillies maiden over 2000 metres at 17.40.
