Ireland this evening

two Irish meetings this evening, with flat racing at Leopardstown and N.H. racing from Limerick. The Leopardstown card boasts two group races, with Aidan O´Brien launching a strong challenge for both. In the Tyros Stakes for 2yo´s over 7 furlongs at 19.30 CET he saddles Cape Blanco (Johnny Murtagh) and Kingdom of Munster (Seamus Heffernan), both easy winners of their only start and now moving up in grade. He has 3 runners in the Meld Stakes over 10 furlongs at 21.100 with the stable jockey partnering Chief Lone Eagle, but they face strong opposition, notably from the smart Casual Conquest (Dermot Weld/ Pat Smullen), a Group One winner last time, and Beach Bunny (Kevin Prendergast/ Chris Hayes) just touched off by Dar Re Mi in the Pretty Polly last time. There are the usual maximum fields at Limerick´s jumps meeting, where the best race is the 2 3/4 miles chase at 20.15. Barna Bay (VT O´Brien/ Joe Cullen) was a 20-1 winner last time, but runner-up Toby Jug (Michael Hourigan/ R uby Walsh) can reverse those placings on 5 lbs better terms.
