Vichy July meeting

the Vichy meeting continues today when the main event is a listed race over a mile for older horses at 15.55. This looks very open, with last-time-out winners Porgy (Criquette Head-Maarek/ Stephane Pasquier) and Sceptre Rouge (Alain de Royer- Dupré/ Ioritz Mendizibal) just two of several possibilities. Hans-Walter Hiller´s Electric Roi runs in the tiercé handicap, also over a mile, at 14.25; he has a big weight but should run well. In the second division at 17.25 Waldemar Himmel´s Kalawa (Johan Victoire) is another German-trained runner with chances, but the stable´s form here this week has so far been disappointing.
