German runners in France today

Once again there are several German runners at the French provincial meeting at Compiegne. In the opening race at 13.50 over 2400 metres for 3yo maiden colts, Werner Baltromei runs Tiger Village (Dominique Boeuf), while in the equivalent race for fillies at 14.55 Norbert Sauer saddles Alternance (Henk Grewe). Sauer and Grewe are also represented by Feuerball in the claimer for 5yo´s + over 2400 metres at 16.55 while in a similar race for 4yo´s Hans Blume runs Secundus (Johan Victoire). In the conditions race over a mile at 15.55 there are two German runners, both with good form to their credit: Le Big (Uwe Stoltefuss/ Jean-Michel Breux) and Electric Roi (Hans Hiller/ Delphine Santiago). This is a race where all runners are ridden by jockeys with less than 10 wins so far this year. It would be no surprise to see both German runners placed here, while Secundus also has a good chance in our view, and in fact the prospects of a German victory this afternoon look very good.
