Rest of U.K. and Ireland

There is plenty more racing today, with Musselburgh and Doncaster staging flat racing this afternoon, and Worcester and Hexham N.H. racing, while this evening there is flat racing at Newcastle and Lingfield (all-weather) as well as at the Curragh in Ireland. Obviously nothing can compare to Epsom, but the Curragh has a listed race over 10 furlongs at 19.30 CET. John Oxx´ Kargali (Fran Berry) caould wsin this, but it is significant that Jim Bolger has declared son-in-law Kevin Manning (rides in the Derby this afternoon!) to partner the once-raced and unbeaten L´Impresario. It could also be significant that David Nicholls has chosen his son Adrian to ride the top-weight Masta Plasta in the valuable 5 furlongs handicap at 16.20 at Musselburgh, despite the large number of stable runners at Epsom. The top race at Doncaster, a fillies handicap over 10 furlongs at 16.05, has also attracted a strong field. Several leading trainers have runners here, including Sir Michael Stoute with the lightly-raced Laughter (Louis-Philippe Beuzelin), Andrew Balding with Amanjana (William Buick), Luca Cumani with ex-Italian Short Affair (Shane Kelly) and Mark Johnston witrh top-weight Lady Jane Digby (Royston Ffrench).
