Newbury and Newmarket

There is also racing this afternoon at Newbury and Newmarket, with the former track featuring 2 listed races. The Carnarvon Stakes over 6 furlongs for 3yo´s at 15.20 CET could go to Sayif (Peter Chapple-Hyam,/ Alan Munro), who is best on ratings and expected to make a leading sprinter this year, but Triple Aspect (William Haggas/ Liam Jones) , unbeaten in 3 starts in 2008, and Awinnersgame (Jeremy Noseda/ William Buick), coming back in distance, look dangerous. The 10 furlongs race for 3yo fillies at 15.50 lies between the unbeaten Apple Charlotte (Henry Cecil/ Tom Queally), who won in good style at Ascot, and Mooakada (John Gosden/ Richard Hills). Best betting race at Newmarket is the 7 furlongs handicap for older horses at 16.35. Pravda Street (Paul Cole/ Darryll Holland) and Dingaan (Andrew Balding/ Liam Keniry) are our fancies here.
