4 fixtures this evening

Newmarket holds its first evening meeting of the year today, and there are some useful 3yo´s engaged in the mile race at 21.20 CET. The Queen´s Four Winds (Michael Bell/ Jamie Spencer), the unbeaten Bridge of Gold (Mikael Magnusson/ Steve Drowne) and On Our Way (Henry Cecil/ Tom Queally) all look listed class at least and the winner will have to be smart. There is also flat racing in Ireland, at Gowran Park, where Aidan O´Brien, whose stable is now in top form, can land 2 more winners with Mark Twain in the 2yo maiden at 18.30 and Coat of Arms over a mile at 21.05; Seamus Heffernan rides them both and also has a good chance of winning the 9 furlongs handicap at 20.00 with recent CD winner Kaitlins Joy. There is jumps racing at Folkestone (all hunter chases) and also Ludlow, where Jonjo O´Neill and Tony McCoy can combine to land a double with ex-German Sam Whiskey at 18.55 and Keepitsecret at 19.30.
