Plumpton abandoned

today´s N.H. fixture at Plumpton is the latest victim of the current cold spell in Britain, leaving the all-weather track at Southwell hosting the only U.K. racing today, but there are no problems with the Irish jumps meeting at Naas. However the outlook for the nest few days looks grim, with Ludlow´s fixture tomorrow (Monday) already abandoned and further abandonments almost certain. The evening all-weather fixtures on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this coming week will all now be staged in the afternoons in order to ensure that there is at least some afternoon racing.
