Catterick this afternoon

With Chepstow off, Catterick has the stage to itself as far as today´s jumps racing is concerned. The class 3 handicap chase over 2 miles 3 furlongs at 15.00 CET loooks the most interesting event, as 6 of the 11 runners are last-time-out winners. Ceoperk (Tony Carroll/ Jason Maguire) was the easiest of them, winning almost in a canter at Hereford, but that was a maiden race and a handicap can be a very different kettle of fish. She can win again, but meets some serious opposition now, including More Like It (Peter Niven/ Brian Hughes) and Royal Hilarity (Peter Bowen/ Seamus Durack). The class 3 handicap hurdle over 3 miles 1 1/2 furlongs at 15.35 looks more straightforward, as Minella Boys (Tim Walford/ Dougie Costello) won with such ease at Sedgefield 10 days agao that a 7 lbs penalty can hardly stop him going n again. Another recent winner who can score again is Super Baby (James Ewart/ Harry Haynes), who won over this CD last week, and can follow up in the novice chase at 16.45. Sue Smith appears tohold a strong hand in the novice hurdle at 16.10 and her two runners Be Brief (Henry Oliver) and Stagecoach Pearl (Tjade Collier) could both finish in the frame.
