Ayr ON -all other jumps racing off

There will be jumps racing in Britain today for the first time in over a week, as there appear to be no problems with Ayr´s newly-arranged fixture. The ground will be very soft, but that is normal, and the card is further boosted by the presence of Tony McCoy, who has 3 rides for Brendan Powell. However all other jumps racing scheduled for today has been abandoned - Warwick and Wetherby in Britain, while the Irish card at Punchestown will now be staged in its entirety on Monday. Tomorrow´s good Irish card at Leopardstown seems to be in no danger, but Carlisle is doubtful. With temperatures now rising, prospects for next week look much better.
