All N.H. racing off again

Today´s jumps meetings at Musselburgh and Fontwell have been abandoned, so that for the fifth day running there is no N.H. racing in the U.K. The evening meeting at Kempton has been transferred to this afternoon, so that there are two all-weather meetings in the afternoon. The same will happen Thursday and Friday, as the outlook for racing on turf remains grim. Thursday´s jump fixtures at Catterick and Hereford look highly improbable, and the same goes for Thurles in Ireland. There are also question marks over Friday´s meetings at Kelso and Huntingdon, and Saturday´s at Warwick and Wetherby, while Saturday´s jumps meeting at Kempton has already been cancelled and will be replaced by all-weather flat racing at the same track. One item of good news is that Ayr, where the temperature is normally higher than in the rest of the U.K., has scheduled a new fixture for Sarurday with a couple of 20,000 pound races. Prospects look slightly better for the weekend´s Irish racing, but thi s obviously depends on the forecast thaw actually happening.
