Sedgefield and Fontwell today

There is an inspection later today at Sedgefield, but if racing gets the green light, then Top of the Knar (Peter Bowen/ Tom O´rien), who has been running in much better company, can win the novice hurdle over 2 3/4 miles at 15.20 CET, while the maiden chase at 14.20 over 3 miles 3 furlongs, which will take some getting on the likely heavy going, looks a match between Tank Top (Tom George/ Paddy Brennan) and Belon Gale (Howard Johnson/ Denis O´Regan).

Betting forecast:
1.Race: Bewery Man - Kinfayre Boy - Satindra
2.Race: Belon Gale - Tank Top - Ajay
3.Race: Rivington Pike - Barashi - Golden Tokyo
4.Race: Tot Of The Knar - Ballybanks - Easby Park
5.Race: Major Catch - Shulmin - Whatcanyasay
6.Race: Blast The Past - Nevsky Bridge - Toss The Caber

At Fontwell, the going will not be so bad, and Chiaro (Philip Hobbs/ Richard Johnson), who ra well at Newbbury 12 days ago, should take the beginners chase at 14.10. The novice hurdle at 15.40 should go to local trainer Suzy Smith´s Missoula (Colin Bolger), who has run well on the flat since her one poor effort over hurdles, but Nick Gifford´s newcomer Nicobar could be a problem. The selling hurdle at 14.40 is suprisingly the best race of the day, being rated class 3, but few of the runners can be guaranteed to run up to their form. The two interesting ones here are the German-breds Axinit (Eddie Creighton/ James Davies) and Swift Sailor (Gary and Jamie Moore), who is very well treated by the race conditions; but the moody Axinit is certainly capable enough on his day but must give the Moore runner a lot of weight.

Betting forecast:
1.Race: Sufad - House Of Lords - Dantari
2.Race: Chiaro - Sound Accord - Carrick Oscar
3.Race: Swift Sailor - Ouste - Sir Monty
4.Race: Vibe - Boscall Hill - Don`T Ask Me
5.Race: Missoula - The Wedding Horse - Balthazar King
6.Race: Dillay Brook - Just Poppytee - Its A Classic
7.Race: Golden Feather - King Gabriel - Maximix
