Irish racing today

There are no weather problems in Ireland, where two N.H., meetings are scheduled today, at Punchestown and Tramore. The former track has easily the better card, and the most interesting runner here should be Ebaziyan (Willie Mullins/ Ruby Walsh) in the 2 1/2 mile hurdle race at 14.15 CET. He has not been seen out since running third to Punjabi in April, but at anywhere near his best should outclass today´s opposition. Mullins and Walsh, both currently riding high, can also take the 3yo hurdle at 15.45 with another ex-John Oxx/ Aga Khan runner, the newcomer Mourad, easily the best flat race performer in the large field.

Betting forecast:
1.Race: Equus Maximus - Bronx Girl - Forest Leaves
2.Race: Ebaziyan - Coolcashin - Sabina Park
3.Race: Imaalhall - Kennel Bridge - Red Vinto
4.Race: Carnbridge - Cnoc An Einn - Britannicus
5.Race: Mourad - Manor Park - Celtic Strand
6.Race: Selection Box - Jack Absolute - Wheels Up

At Tramore, Irish Realm (P. Magnier/ Robbie Colgan), runner-up in a similar event at Downpatrick last time, can take the beginners chase at 16.05.
