all-weather racing at Lingfield

With both Warwick and Uttoxeter abandoned, Lingfield´s all-weather flat meeting will be the only British racing today. With 7 of the 8 races class 6, the old year can certainly be said to be going out, not with a bang, but a whimper. The best race is the final 7 furlongs hanicap at 16.30 CET, which can go to bottom-weight I Confess (David Evans/ Neil Callan), a CD winner last time out, and the same trainer/ jockey combination can also take the 1 1/2 mile seller at 13.30 with Nawamees, who is dropping in grade. Hayley Turner rode her 100th winner of 2008 last night at Wolverhampton, and with the pressure now off, can take the 6 furlongs handicap at 15.00 with Mister Thatcher, who can complete a quick hat-trick.
