cold weather blues

The current cold weather in Britain is causing major problems for the jumps meetings scheduled this week. There are inspections at both today´s N.H. meetings at Warwick and Uttoxeter; tomorrow´s New Year´s day fixture at Cheltenham seems likely to go ahead, but there are doubts about Fakenham and Exeter, while Ayr´s Friday/ Saturday fixture as well as Sandown´s high-class card on Saturday are also under threat.

LATER: as feared, both Warwick and Uttoxeter today have been abandoned because of frost.
