Deauville´s fibresand track today once again has a mammoth card of 12 races - 4, all for 2yo´s, in the morning, and 8 in the afternoon, with numerous German-trained and ex-German runners, as well as entries from Holland, Italy and Switzerland. Only German runner before lunch is Ralf Rohne´s Black Law (Ronan Thomas) in a 2yo seller at 12.20. In the afternoon, Pridal (Andreas Löwe/ Carina Fey) runs in a 3yo claiming race for young jockeys over 1500 metres at 14.05, and an hoiur later Sweet Fighter (Sascha Smrczek/ Delphine Santiago) on a claimer for older horses over 1900 metres, in which ex-Germans Ardbeg and Lucky Limbo are also engaged. Possibly the best chance of a German winner is Dieter Fechner´s Global Dream (Dominique Boeuf) in the claiming race over 1300 metres at 15.35. He was a big disappointment last time, but normally must be able to show up well in this company; Atlantic Fantasy (Uwe Stoltefuss/ Delphne Santiago) is another German hope here, however a major danger is ex-Werner Glanz Assam (Georg Bocskai), who is now trained in Switzerland by Carmen Bocskai and stands out here on his 2007 form. Dunedin Star (Mario Hofer/ Jeremy Croquevieille) and Princess d´Etreham (Vincent Vion) both run in the claiming race for 3yo fillies over 1500 metres at 16.35.
