Ireland today

Two Irish fixtures today, but the cards at Fairyhouse and Tramore are not inspiring, and there are some huge fields, especially in the maiden hurdles. Most valuable race of the day is the listed chase over 2 miles 5 furlongs at 15.20 CET at Tramore, but most of the runners are below top class and out of form. Tumbling Dice (Tom Taaffe/ Matt O´Connor) and Knight Legend (Jessica Harrington/ Andrew Leigh), last year´s easy winner here, were 3rd and 9th behind Scotsirish over 2 miles at Cork last time and have possibly the strongest credentials. At Fairyhouse there are 21 runners in the beginners chase at 16.10, but the finish should only concern Good Fella (P. and MF Mooney) and Sizing America (Harry de Bromhead/ Andrew McNamara). McNamara also partners Edward O´Grady´s German-bred Salt Lake in the handicap hurdle at 15.35 and he has an each-way chance in a very open race.
