there is no flat racing in France today, but Auteuil stages one of its best day´s racing of the entire year, with the Grand Steeplechase des 4 Ans at 14.15, the Grande Course de Haies des 3 Ans at 15.20, both over 3600 metres, and the Prix La Haye Jousselin, the most important French chase of the autumn, over 5500 metres at 15.55. 4 of the 11 runners are trained by Francois Cottin, the best of them probably being Louping d´Ainay (Dean Gallagher) and Musica (Philip Carberry), while the star in the first-named event could well be the Italian-trained Sharstar (Paulo Favero/ Raffaele Romano), who has won his last 10 races, including the big event at Merano.
