Promising young chasers at Carlisle

Carlisle stages one of its better cards today, when young chasers are in the limelight. The opening beginners chase over 2 miles at 14.20 CET sees several useful hurdlers running over fences, including the German-bred Quicuyo (Peter Monteith/ Ryan Mania), an own brother to Quijano. On hurdles form he is rated below Bywell Beau (Alan Charlton/ Wayne Kennedy), but all of that one´s 4 wins came at Kelso, a very different track. Ex-Irish Mister Watzisname (Charlie Longsdon/ Tom Siddall) also has chances, as does Role On (Nicky Richards/ Rose Dobbin- nee Davidson). Richards has now hit top form, and he can win the main event, a class 2 graduation chase over 2 miles 5 furlongs at 14.55 with smart but inconsistent Faasel (Davy Condon), who has most to fear from Tot o´Whisky (Malcolm Jefferson/ Phil Kinsella). Charlie Longsdon and Tom Siddall can also strike with Iwillrememberyou in the novice chase over the same trip at 15.25, who has penalised Andrew Nick (Nigel Twiston-Davies/ Pad dy Brennan) and Marleybow (Howard Johnson/ Tony McCoy) to beat, although Len Lungo´s formerly smart hurdler Skippers Brig (Wilson Renwick) would have a great chance if back to his best after 605 days off.

Betting forecast:
1.Race: Bywell Beau - Mister Watzisname - Mohayer
2.Race: Faasel - Tot O`Whiskey - Crozan

4.Race: Akilak - Malko De Beaumont - Jimmy Bond
