German runners at Maisons-Laffitte

After another highly successful week for German-trained runners in France and Italy, there could be more winners today when German horses have good chances in the first 6 races (of 8) at Maisons-Laffitte. Werner Baltromei, teaming up with his favourite jockey Dominique Boeuf, is represented in 4 races - König Bernard in the 2yo colts race over 1700 metres at 13.30, Still Bai in the fillies equivalent at 14.05, Night Heart in a 3yo race over 2500 metres at 15.35 and Alpe d´Huez in 3yo fillies handicap over 1400 metres at 16.05. Mario Hofer, whose stable form could not be better, has also booked Dominique Boeuf for two rides, No Mum in the 3yo claiming race over 3000 metres at 14.35 and Ininsfree in a claiming race over 1200 metres half an hour later. Erika Mäder´s Moscato (Anthony Cardine) also runs in the 3000 metres race, and Ertürk Kurdu´s Neyraan (Johan Victoire) in the 1200 metres event. It would certainly come as a surprise were none of these to score, and our tips for the most likely German winners today are König Bernard and Innisfree.
