N.H. racing in England and Ireland

There is jumps racing today at Chepstow and Huntingdon and in Ireland at Down Royal. The best racing is at Huntingdon, where Alan King and "Choc" Thornton look the team to follow. They can win the 3yo fillies hurdle at 14.40 CET with Cosmea, who won well on her debut 27 days ago, and the mares novice hurdle at 15.50 with Divali Princess, while the stable´s King Troy (Jack Doyle) also has chances in the handicap chase at 15.15. However he faces some strong opposition, including last time-out winner Master Medic (Sue Alner/ Robert Walford) and Fontwell specialist Soleil Fox (Nick Gifford/ David Dunsdon). Nick Gifford wil be especially keen to win this race named after his uncle. At Chepstow, Paul Nicholls and Ruby Walsh can continue their winning ways. The Gossmorr Yank in the openin g maiden hurdle at 13.25, ex-French Hivika in the shorter maiden hurdle at 14.30, Otto des Pictons (despite a long layoff through injury) in the handicap hurdle at 15.40 - where German-bred top-wei ght Sullumo (Charlie Mann/ Noel Fehily) looks the main danger, and debutant Penellis in the concluding bumper, are all expected to start favourite and several of them are likely to score for the duo. The most interesting races at Downpatrick are the two beginners chases. Killenaule Boy (Edward O´Grad/ Andrew McNamara) is overdue a victory and can take the 15.20 race over 2 1/2 miles, while the staying race at 16.25 can go to chasing debutant Deutschland (Willie Mullins/ David Casey), who has decent hurdling form to his credit.
