N.H. racing at Lingfield and Sedgefield

Lingfield staged flat racing on the all-weather yesterday, but today they race there over jumps (although the opening bumoer is run on the all-weather track), and the 2 mile beginners chase at 14.30 CET looks a good opportunity for Chatrlie Mann´s German-bred Gauvain (Neil Fehily) to get off the mark over fences. The Sternkönig gelding was a decent hurdler and ran an excellent race last time out when second in good company at Sandown. Divali Princess (Alan King/ Charlie Huxley) also looks a good thing to win the mares novice hurdle at 14.00, while Little Josh (Nigel Twiston-Davies/ Paddy Brennan) should take the novice hurdle an hour later; both were good bumper horses who have made a decent start over hurdles. The handicap hurdle at 15.00 is much more open; Osolomio (Jennie Candlish/ Alan O´Keeffe) is the best horse in the field, but is coming off a long break and has to concede a lot of weight, e.g. 17 lbs to Jardin de Vienne (Noel Chance/ Richard Johnson).

Betting forecast:
1.Race: The Darling Boy - Toulaman - Tigerbythetale
2.Race: Divali Princess - Southern Exit - Worbarrow Bay
3.Race: Gauvain - Divine Gift - Rapid Increase
4.Race: Little Josh - Rebeccas Choice - Lennox Gardens
5.Race: Night Safe - Nicto De Beauchene - Ballygalley Bob
6.Race: Stradbrook - Guardian Of Truth - Osolomio
7.Race: Mylord Collonges - Misbehaviour - Glengarra

At Sedgefield, the opening beginers chase ver 2 1/2 miles at 13.50 looks the most interesting event. Chief Dan George (Jimmy Moffatt/ Richard McGrath) won a Grade One novice hurde over 3 miles at the 2007 Grand National meeting and has been running, without success, in top races events since. This trip could be on the short side for his first race over fences, and both Logan´s Run (Howard Johnson/ Denis O´Regan) and Lease Lend (Tim Easterby/ Dougie Costello) could be dangerous. Howard Johnson and O´Regan are in tremendous form and should land the 3yo novice hurdle at 14.20 with Silk Drum and the handicap chase an hour later with Digital Media.

Betting forecast:
1.Race: Chief Dan George - Lease Lend - Bedlam Boy
2.Race: Silk Drum - We`Re Delighted - Dry Speedfit
3.Race: Sorrento Moon - Leprechaun`S Gold - Just Posh
4.Race: Digital Media - Flaming Heck - Eborarry
5.Race: Kings Maiden - Delightfully - Gallileo Figaro
6.Race: Rival Bidder - Shulmin - Nelliedonethat
