German runners at Saint-Cloud

Saint-Cloud today stages one of the last days of flat racing of 2008 in the Paris region and once again German stables are strongly represented. There are no Germans in the listed mile race at 14.20 for 2yo´s (but a British challenger, Richard Fahey´s Goliaths Boy with Tony Hamilton), but Mario Hofer´s Mona Lisa (Andreas Suborics) challenges for the listed race fof 3yo fillies over 1400 metres half an hour later, where Michael Bell´s Just Like a Woman with Hayley Turner is the British hope. Hofer and Subi also have prospects with Malachito in the 1300 metres event at 15.50, while there are German runners in all three divisons of the mile handicap. In the first, and best, division at 13.50, Weltträumer (Andreas Trybuhl/ William Mongil) and Prokopios (Hans Blume/ Subi) are the German hopes, while there are 4 runners in the second division at 16.20 - Triple Beat (Hofer/ Maxime Guyon), Langford (Heinz Hesse/ Stephane Breux), Noxon (Werner Baltromei/ Dominique Boeuf) and Le Patro n (Petr Olsanik/ Rene Campos), and 2 in the third division at 16.50, oldtimer Grantley (Hesse/ Julien Augé) and Fancy Running (Baltromei/ Boeuf).
