jumps card at Leicester

With Limerick (Ireland) abandoned, Leicester stages the only jumps racing today and all the top jockeys are in action. The class 3 novice chase over 2 miles at 15.20 CET has only 6 runners, but they all are useful performers. Kalahari King (Ferdy Murphy/ Graham Lee), a winner of 5 flat races and 2 over hurdles, made a good start to his chasing career by winning a month ago at Kelso, but Jonjo O´Neill´s Crocodile´s Rock (Tony McCoy) also won his only chase in good style and must be feared, while Nicky Henderson´s Shatbadi (Sam Waley-Cohen) looks a big danger in receipt of 13 lbs from them both. The handicap hurdle half an hour later, also over 2 miles, looks wide open. The trip is possibly too short for Pagano (Alan King/ Robert Thornton), while Haar (Andrew Turnell/ Mark Grant) and Widely Accepted (OloiverSherwood/ Sam Jones) both ran respectably last time. but our main fancy is Lucy Wadham´s Approved Force (Dominic Elsworth), a CD winner a year ago and who has run against s ome smart opponents since. With Venetia Williams coming into form, her Pterodactyl (Sam Thomas) can get the better of Norman the Great (King/ Choc) in the final novice hurdle at 16.50.
