All-weather action at Kempton and Wolverhampton

An average Monday afternoon´s sport today, with all-weather racing at Kempton and Wolverhampton and N.H. racing from Leicester, with the Irish meeting at Limerick abandoned because of a waterlogged track. Most interesting event at Wolverhampton is the class 3 5 furlongs handicap at 17.00 CET, with several CD specialists in the line-up, notably Almaty Express (John Weymes/ Joe Fanning), who has won 9 times here. However his recent form is not inspiring and he can be passed over in favour of two horses that are running here for the first time, Arganil (Kevin Ryan/ Neil Callan) and Luscivious (Alan McCabe/ EJ McNamara), while Masunosuke (AB Coogan/ Darrlyy Holland) and Soopacal (Bryan Smart/ Tom Eaves) must also be rspected. Jamie Spencer has several gpood rides booked and can win the last race, a 2 miles 1 furlong handicap at 17.30 with James Fanshawe´s Dart, an easy winner a week ago at Southwell from Inchpast and Victory Quest, who can repeat the dose under a 6 lbs penalty. < br />
Betting forecast:
1.Race: Rocket Rob - Faraway Sound - Readily
2.Race: Madame Hoi - Shakedown - Absa Lutte
3.Race: Climate - Cap St Jean - Mrs Jefferson
4.Race: Five Two - Graylyn Ruby - Remember Ramon
5.Race: Arganil - Soopacal - Luscivious
6.Race: Dart - Mohawk Star - Inchpast
7.Race: Eternal Optimist - Kirstys Lad - Liberty Valance
8.Race: The Grey One - Ours - Quick Off The Mark

At Kempton, Valdan (David Evans/ Dame O´Neill), who was just caught here last week, can make amends in the 10 furlongs handicap at 15.10; Stand Guard (Paul Howling/ Ian Mongan) and Hucking Heat (Reg Hollinshead/ Hayley Turner) are both chasing hat-tricks here, while Under Fire (Tony Carroll/ Shane Kelly) keeps going up in the weights following a long series of placed efforts. It is unlikely that we shall see any smart 2yo´s in action for the rest of this year, but Princess Cagliari (Richard Hannon/ Dane O´Neill) and Bobs Dreamflight (Dean Ivory/ Martin Dwyer) both ran well enough on their only starts to suggest that they are both certain future winners. As the Princess´ run was here a fortnight ago, while Bob´s run was in June at Sandown, the former must be preferred to take the 6 furlongs maiden at 16.10.

Betting forecast:
1.Race: Dougie Peel - Barcode - Hassadin

3.Race: Good Effect - Torrens - Little Carmela
4.Race: Bobs Dreamflight - Princess Cagliari - Diamond Twister
5.Race: Namu - River Kirov - Hurricane Coast
6.Race: One More Round - Ten Pole Tudor - Cheap Street
7.Race: Salt Of The Earth - Kannon - Dualagi
8.Race: Moon Crystal - Eastern Gift - Zazous
