German runners at Auteuil

although German-trained runners have been cleaning up on the flat recently in France, successes in jumps races are rather more rare. However two trainers try today in a top card from Auteuil, where it is the opening day of their big autumn meeting. Main feature is the Group One Grand Prix d´Automne, a hurdles race over 4800 metres at 15.55, where Mario Hofer´s Atamane (Xavier Hondier), smart though he is, faces a very stiff task. Elfi Schnakenberg also saddles two runners on the undercard, Allegan in a chase for amateur riders at 13.45 with Benjamin Davider in the saddle, and Taxus in a chase for 5yo´s also over 4100 metres with Paul Johnson aboard.
