All-weather action today

not much all-weather action today with just the evening meeting at Great Leighs, and not much there to stir the imagination. The main event is the 6 furlongs handicap at 20.20 CET, in which Paul Cole´s consistent Harlech Castle (Shane Kelly) once again meets Irish Pearl (Karl Burke/ Fergus Sweeney), who has won her last 2 races with the Cole challenger, who is now better off at the weights, well held. However Harlech Castle, placed on both his all-weather starts and unbeaten with this jockey, could turn the tables this evening. Best bet of the evening should be Ed Dunlop´s well-bred Fosool (Richard Hills) in the mile maiden half an hour later. She was second n her debut in April and has not been seen since, but the opposition looks very weak. The claiming race over a mile for apprentice jockeys at 21.20 sees an interesting ex-German runner at the start, Gestüt Schlenderhan´s Idealist, a smart group race performer a couple of years ago, but now trained by Andrew Stringer for Barney Curley and ridden today by Charles Eddery. If anywhere near his old form after a break of a year, he can hardly lose this; Karl Burke´s Electric Warrior (Matthew Lawson) looks the main danger.

Betting forecast:
1.Race: Fast Freddie - Silvanus - Sands Crooner
2.Race: Irish Pearl - Harlech Castle - Cape
3.Race: Fosool - Bullet Man - Lyceana
4.Race: Electric Warrior - Idealist - Obezyana
5.Race: Mannlichen - When Doves Cry - Kaolak
6.Race: Premier Danseur - Bluejain - Pharaohs Justice
