German-breds at Plumpton

N.H. racing today at Plumpton, where the most interesting event is the 2 mile maiden hurdle at 15.20 CET. Noprdwind showed fair handicap form for Walter Swinburn, while Bergo, who is coming off a long break, is having his first run in the U.K. However he was easily the best of these on the flat and can score at the first time of asking for renowned punter Harry Findlay. In the following handicap hurdle over 3 miles 1 1/2 furlongs, Papeete (Mrs. N. Smith/ Gemma Gracey-Davidson) would have a chance on his best form, which however he does not always show; the prolific point-to-point winner North Island (Alison Thorpe/ Richard Johnson) lo oks a more reliable proposition.
