Kerry National at Listowel

the Listowel festival, which goes on all week in the west of the Irish Republic, has its main feature today, the valuable Guinness Kerry National, a handicap chase over 3 miles at 17.10 CET. The ground is very testing so that stamina will be a a premium. Willie Mullins saddles 3 runners, and it is probable that Ruby Walsh, who won the main race here yesterday for the stable, has again made the right choice with Davenport Democrat. Handicap specialist Tony Martin runs the ex-German Green Mile (Robbie Colgan), who fell last time out over fences but recently won on the flat. Last year´s winner Ponmeoath (Eric McNamara/ Paddy Flood) cannot be left out of calculations in a very open affair. The novice hurdle over 2 1/2 miles at 15.35 has some useful runners and should lie between Define (J.Motherway/ Denis O´Regan) and Afashoon (Jessica Harrington/ Robbie Power).

1.Race: Eight Up - Munster Pride - Salesin
