Listed race at Yarmouth

It is very unusual for Yarmouth, best known for moderate racing for rock-bottom prize-money. to put on the best card of the day, but that is the case today when the Norfolk track has a very strong programme, including a listed race for fillies and mares over 10 furlongs at 17.30 CET. As expected, this race has attracted a huge entry of 16 runners and looks wide open. It could be that the four older fillies here have the advantage, as last year´s winner Samira Gold (Luca Cumani/ Dane O´Neill) and consistent German-red Les Fazzani (Mark Wallace/ Philip Robinson) have hold claims, while the orders for Nolas Lolly, running in the colours of the recently-widowed Renata Jacobs, will presumably be given in Italian, as she is trained by Marco Botti and will be ridden by Frankie Dettori. She has run two good race in Germany, notably when third to Peace Royale at Hamburg, and although she ran badly on soft ground last time, must have a fair chance at a big price today. Best of the 3yo´ s could be Peter Chapple-Hyam´s Cape Amber (Alan Munro). Michael Jarvis sends a strong team to Yarmouth, and his lightly-weighted DarkProspect (Hayley Turner) should run well in the class 3 handicap over 10 furlongs at 16.55, while debutant Tiger Eye (Philip Robinson) is expected to bustle up hot favourite Bouvardia (Henry Cecil/ Ted Durcan) in the 6 furlongs race for 2yo maiden fillies at 15.10.
