Beverley, Kempton and Sandown

The ground is still soft at Beverley, though drying out in the southern half of the U.K., and the races there this afternoon look very tricky. The handicap over 1 1/2 miles for 3yo´s at 16.45 CET is the best race on the card; top-weight Rowan Rio (William Haggas/ Liam Jones), Fearless Warrior (JOh Dunlop/ Eddie Ahern) - going for a hat-trick- and last-time-out winners Look to this day and Long Distance are four likely contenders. At Sandown, the 7 furlkongs race for 2yo novices could go to Henry Cecil´s unbeaten Wingwalker (Tom Queally), who has quite a tall reputation; the more experienced Rileyskeepingfaith (Mick Channon/ Sam Hitchcott), outclassed in a Deauville Group One last time, looks the one to follow him home. The fillies mile handicap at 17.40 seems to lie betwee top weight Trumpet Lily (Johnny Portman/ Jim Crowley), Rhadegunda (John Gosden/ Darryll Holland) and Lee Miller (Luca Cumani/ Michael Murphy). The 1 1/2 mile maiden race at 20.20 at Kempton´s all-weather eve ning meeting features two runners with a long sequence of second places - Brexca (Clive Cox/ Adam Kirby) and Buddhist Monk (Sir Mark Prescott/ Daragh O´Donohoe), one of them should finally get off the mark this time. Priti Fabulous (William Haggas/ Jamie Spencer), who won his only start at this track, has good prospects in the mile handicap for 3yo´s at 21.50
