Bangor, Sandown and Wolverhampton

There is also racing in the U.K. today at Bangor (National Hunt), Sandown and Wolverhampton (all -weather evening racing). Sandown´s best race is the class 3 mile handicap at 16.25 CET, in which Admiral Dundas (Jean-Pierre Guillambert), Silver Rime (Richard Hannon/ Ryan Moore) and Topazes (Michael Bell/ Gary Bartley) are the three for the short list. It is significant that Ryan Moore, almost certain to be champion jockey again, rides here rather than at Doncaster, and it seems that the main reason for his presence is Sir Michael Stoute´s Censored in the 10 furlongs handicap for 3yo´s at 18.05. Stoute´s only runner at the fixture is a half-sister to French Oaks winner Confidential Lady and has most to fear from top-weight Mr. Hichens (Brian Meehan/ Eddie Ahern), an easy winner of his last 3 races.Only race of the remotest interest at Wolverhampton´s floodlit meeting is the 6 furlongs handicap at 19.50, in which 7 of the 13 runners are CD winners, including last week´s winner R oyal Challenge (Ian McInnes/ Pat Mathers) and all-weather specialist Realt na Mara (Hughie Morrison/ Travis Block), a winner on his only start at this track. Over jumps at Bangor, the German-bred Moon Star (Paul Blockley/ Michael Murohy) coud run well at a big price in the class 3 handicap hurdle at 17.15. He is a CD winner and being by Goofalik out of an Alkalde mare should no problems with the going. Top-weight Rightway Star (Donald McCain/ Jason Maguire) also likes this track and soft ground while the two forecast favourites Levitski (Jonjo O´Neill/ Tony McCoy) and Sheshali (Evan Williams/ Paul Moloney) probably need it faster.
