Irish racing this evening

In Ireland as well the days are getting shorter and this evening´s meetings at Down Royal (4 flat races, 3 over hurdles) and Wexford (3 flat, 3 hurdles, one bumper) are the last turf evening meetings of the season, with maximum fields in most races. At Wexford the 1 1/2 mile handicap at 18.30 is wide open with 16 runners. The two ex-Germans Lyceum (Dessie Hughes/ Kevin Manning) and Gladiole (Ger Cully/ Paul Townend) both have a chance, as does Willie Mullins´ Dani California, ridden by jumps jockey Davy Condon. Ruby Walsh looks the man to follow at Down Royal and he rides the likely favourite in all 3 hurdle races, Azana for Pat Fahy at 19.45,Vital Plot for Dermot Weld in the feature at 20.15 and Flashy Beau for Tony Martin half an hour later
