Rest of U.K. today

Today´s remaining 4 meetings are less exciting, with Nottingham and Stratford (N.H.) in the afternoon and Sandown and Musselburgh this evening. At Nottingham oldtimer Cape Royal (Milton Bradley/ Pat Cosgrave) can end a long losing run under top weight in the class 5 handicap over 5 furlongs at 15.40; he is dropping in grade here and gave a slightly better performance last time out. Alan Swinbank has prospects of landing a double here with Full Speed (PJ McDonald) in the 10 furlongs handicap at 16.55 and Hartshead (Dean McKeown) in the mile handicap at 18.05. Easily the best race at Stratford is the class 3 handicap hurdle at 17.15, whch has attracted a strong field for the time of year. Mr. Jack Daniells (Ferdy Murphy/ Tony McCoy) and Nortonthorpe Lad (Alison Thorpe/Richard Johnson) have both been in great form but have shot up the weights as a result; possibly Pilca (Declan Carroll/ Johnny Farrelly) and Hartshead (Gary and Jamie Moore), who have both run respectably on the flat recently, can be preferred.
