N.H. racing at Newton Abbot, Uttoxeter and Wetherby

There is plenty of jumps racing today, with N.H. meetings at Newton Abbot (this afternoon) and in the evening a Uttoxeter and Wetherby. At Newton Abbot, Alison Thorpe´s Tot of the Knar (Richard Johnson), an easy winner of her only hurdles start after running up a sequence in point-to-points, can continue on her winning ways in the novice hurdle at 16.00 CET, while the maiden hurdle half an hour later should concern mainly Acapulco Bay (Dai Burchell/ Lee Stephens) and Master Wells (Jimmy Frost/ Tom O´Connor). The maiden hurdle at Uttoxeter at 19.25 is over 3 miles, and Georgian KIng (Alan King/ Robert Thornton) and Predictive (Donald McCain/ Jason Maguire) look the obvious candidates here. German-bred Absolut Power (Jonathan Geake/ Paddy Brennan), who need fast ground to show his best form, may find conditions to his liking in the novices handicap chase at 19.55. McCain also has good chances at Wetherby, and top-weights Temple Place, in the class 3 handicap hurdle at 20.05 over 2 miles, and Chickapeakray, in the 2 miles 7 furlongs handicap hurdle at 20.40, both with PJ Benson in the saddle, can also score for the stable.
