N.H. racing this evening

Fans of jumps racing ae the field to themselves this evening, with N.H. racing at Hexham and Huntingdon and a mixed meeting (3 flat races, 3 over jumps and a bumper) at Ballinrobe in Ireland. Best bet at the Irish track could be Philip Fenton´s Paddy the Ref (Barry Geraghty) in the maiden hurdle at 21.30 CET; he is penalised for winning a bumper, but his recent second place at Killarney makes him the clear form choice here. Trainer Evan Williams usually does well at this time of year and can land an across-the-card double in the novice chases at 20.20 at Huntingdon and twenty minutes later at Hexham with Chrysander (Paul Moloney) and Piran (Christian Williams) respectively. Also at Hexham, the much improved Justwhateverulike (Sandra Forster/ Tom Messenger) can complete a hat-trick in the 2 mile handicap chase at 21.40, while German-bred Cortinas (Charlie Mann/ Noel Fehily) can take Huntingdon´s novice hurdle at 20.50 as long as the rain stays away.
