Chepstow, Leicester and Redcar go ahead

Racing goes ahead this afternoon at Leicester and Chepstow after early morning inspections following the problems of the last few days and the very changeable weather. Redcar also had problems yesterday but is also clear for today; the best race there is the 5 furlongs handicap at 17.10 CET with several distance specialists in the field of 10. However top-weight and likely favourite Inter Vision (Allan Dickman/ Daniel Tudhope), an easy winner at Catterick on Saturday, seems better at 6 furlongs, in which case Ocean Blaze (Rod Millman/ Chris Catlin), a CD winner last October, and King of Swords, representing the husband and wife team of Nigel and Kim Tinkler, might be preferred. A Leicester the most interesting event is the 7 furlongs handicap for 3yo´s at 16.00, in which top-weights Romany Princess (Richard Hannon/ Richard Hughes) and Tawzeea (Mark Johnston/ Richard Hills) come into the reckoning, together with last-time-out winner Divine Power (Ralph Beckett/ Seb Sanders). Two horses that won last time out at Goodwood could follow up at the Chepstow meeting - Davenport (Rod Millman/ Alan Munro) in the 10 furlongs handicap at 16.50 and Councellor (Stef Liddiard/ Micky Fenton) in the mile handicap half an hour later.
