Sweet Master still on track for success?

Deauville, Thursday, 22 December: It continues today with eight races on the fibre sand track in Deauville. The Prix du Jardin d`Eau (race 6/16.45/20.000 Euro/1900 m) will test the form of Sweet Master (Fabien Lefebvre).

Trained by Waldemar Himmel for the Heidekraut stable, the six-year-old has been running reliably to the front for months and also brings his quarters victories, such as most recently in Chantilly, where he won a similar match by three-quarters of a length. King of Twist (Eddy Hardouin) is one of his main rivals, who can always be seen in front, especially on this course. On 29 November, he was second better than Diwan Senora (Aurelien Lemaitre), who missed a better premium not far back. Lago Santa (Tony Piccone) announced himself fourth and should be included in any consideration. Luci Del Faro (Alexis Pouchin) defeated King of Twist in October, now the weights have shifted in favour of the underdog. Mario Hofer saddles Asian Pearl (Gerald Mosse), who has remained unremarkable in four starts.
