Cagnes-sur-Mer, Sunday, 25 December: The obstacle course on the Riviera is the venue for seven exciting races today. For the Prix du Comté de Nice (5th race/14.15 p.m./€60,000/4200 m), nine horses were left standing at the last cancellation.
After the impression Berjou (Nicolas Gauffenic) made here about a fortnight ago when winning over Rêve de Prince (Jean-Baptiste Breton), the eight-year-old is again seen ahead. He defeated Manon des Sources (Felix de Giles) in his triumph in the Grande Course de Haies de Pau (Listed race) in February, who currently announced herself with a third-place finish and is promoted. Garkapstar (Adrien Merienne) should not be overlooked as the winner of a `Classe 1` test over Coeur Nantais (Alexis Gautron). Peace Garden (Josef Bartos) did not get over the jumps without an accident in that match, but pleased with three wins in Meran before that.
