Deauville, Tuesday, 20 December: The last Listed race of the European Flat season will be decided today in Deauville. The Prix Petite Etoile (2nd race/17.20 h/55,000 Euro/1900 m) is aimed at three-year-old mares.

Waldemar Hickst saddled Ability (Gerald Mosse), who was unplaced in the Prize of Diana (Group 1), for Ittlingen Stud. The Mastercraftsman-daughter made two more starts afterwards, she did not finish higher than sixth in the St. Leger (Group 3) as well as in the Waldpfad-Trophy (Group 3). A lot of strong-form opponents stand in the way of the three-year-old, such as Night Battle (Alexis Pouchin) and Colombidea (Marie Velon), who travelled from England with a recent victory. Katoucha (Eddy Hardouin) easily won a `Classe 1` in Marseille and must be noted as well. Suyian (Clement Lecoeuvre) announced herself second on the sand track in Chantilly. Qitura (Stephane Pasquier) met it challenging twice at list level, today`s task could taste the two-time winner of the season. Soldanelle (Aurelien Lemaitre) is known to the German audience from Düsseldorf, where she finished third in the Diana Trial. Aunt Bethany (Theo Bachelot) disappointed in Fontainebleau, could be further again this time at longer distance.
