All-weather racing today

Autumn is in the air today as there is no flat racing on turf, just 3 N.H. meetings and two flat meetings on the all-weather, at Lingfield this afternoon and Kempton this evening. At Lingfield the most interesting event is the 3yo handicap over 10 furlongs at 18.45 CET. D´Urberville (John Jenkins/ Pat Dobbs) brings the best form into the race and is an experienced all-weather performer, but must beware of the lightly -raced Pedantic (Luca Cumani/ Kieren Fallon) and Piano (John Gosden/ William Buick), while top-weight Trailblazing (Mark Johnston/ Joe Fanning) is also not out of it. At Lingfield we also like course specialist Prince of Thebes (Mike Attwater/ Luke Morris) in the mile handicap at 16.00; he has top weight here but has been running in better company.

Many of these in action here then move on to Kempton´s evening meeting, where Cumani and Fallon can possibly double up with Loden in the 11 furlongs handicap at 21.10; this one was very unlucky here last time when his saddle slipped. Otherwise Godolphin can continue their winning run. They can dominate the first division of the 2yo maiden at 19.40 with Badeel (Saeed bin Suroor/ Frankie Dettori) and Mariners Lodge (Mahmoud al Zarooni/ Ahmed Atjebi), and Dettori/ bin Suroor also have chances in the second division half an hour later with the debutant Laatafreet.
